1) Deputy General Secretary – Programmes
About the role
The Deputy General Secretary for Programme (DGSP) reports to the General Secretary and is a key member of the CWM Senior Management Team. The role has line management responsibilities, and will involve international travel.

The Deputy General Secretary for Programme role is to integrate and provide leadership, guidance and support to the CWM programmatic agenda, working closely with 32-member church denominations spread across 6 global regions, ecumenical partners, and other individuals and groups of common missional interests. The DGSP will be responsible for providing transformative leadership for the development and implementation of contextually relevant programmes built upon CWM’s strategic priorities.

2) Mission Secretary – Communications
About the role
The Mission Secretary – Communications reports directly to General Secretary (equivalent to CEO) of Council for World Mission (CWM) and is based in our headquarters in Singapore. The role has Line Management responsibility for the Communication team members and acts as a member of the leadership team. This role will involve some international travel.

This role’s overarching aim is to develop and implement a long-term communications vision and strategy for CWM, and to effectively reach target audiences and create new opportunities for partnerships and influence towards accomplishing CWM’s mission.

3) Mission Secretary – Economy & Ecology
About the role
The Mission Secretary for Ecology and Economy reports to the Deputy General Secretary for Programme and is a member of the CWM Management Team. As part of CWM’s renewed vision on “Life-Flourishing Creation and Economy”, and its global strategic objective in moving towards developing life-flourishing communities, the successful incumbent is responsible to develop and implement programmes to equip and enable member churches towards ecological integrity and economy of life in doing God’s mission in the world.

The position holder is to work in partnership with member churches, ecumenical partners, and people’s movements in promoting life-flourishing economy and ecology while taking the responsibility for an assigned CWM Region.
