Walter Carruthers went home to the Lord on Thursday, 24th October 2024, aged 96 - he died peacefully at the Castleview Care Home, Alnwick where he had been cared for the past recent years due to deteriorating health situation.

The ensuing years Walter was assigned to both the Tainan Theological College and Seminary and the Cheng-Kung University where he continued to teach English up until 1967 when felt led to resign to return his native land, England.
